Governing Body

The school is governed by a Governing Body, who are responsible for school policy, financial stability and the overall direction of the school. They are elected by parents, and must be members of the JWCS Association, committed to the Statement of Faith and Objectives of the school.

The Governing Body is accountable to the school’s Patrons. The Patrons are responsible for appointing the Principal, upholding the Constitution and the acquisition of land or buildings.

The Patrons

Dr Chris Warton

Dr Warton is the founder of JWCS and has seen six of his children Matriculate from the school. He is a lecturer in anatomy and plays an active role in the Christian Medical Fellowship at UCT.

Rev Alan Noble

Rev Noble is the Rector of Holy Trinity Church, a C.E.S.A. church in Gardens, Cape Town. He has been part of the school since 2003 and served on the Governing body before his nomination as a Patron.

Mr Maurice Espin

Mr Espin has had three daughters at JWCS and his wife is a teacher at the school. He served as Chairman of the Governing Body for several years before beginning theological studies at the Bible Institute of South Africa in Kalk Bay.
