The ethos of the school is Bible based and Christ-centred. We understand that our teachers are role models and for that reason they must be practicing Christians who have a living relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Not every child at the school has accepted the gospel. However, we require that the same faith in Christ which is proclaimed at school will be upheld in their homes. This is to maintain a partnership where home and school are in agreement.
Parents have primary responsibility for educating their children. The role of teachers is to assist, not replace, the parents. Education includes not only academic, cultural and sporting achievement, but spiritual growth and character development as well. In all these areas, we may not draw a line between 'sacred' and 'secular', but instead we acknowledge that God created all things and that nothing can be fully known without knowing the Creator first. Therefore we try not to allow a mindset where God is kept separate from the study of His creation.
Authentic Christian education is one of the means God gives to help train our children not to be “conformed to the pattern of this world but transformed through the renewing of their minds.” (Rom 12:2)
