Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22 verse 6
Our Code of Conduct - “The way we want to be” - is based on biblical principles for godly living.
We strive to teach and model these all the time. When anyone acts contrary to these standards we respond promptly. We strive to discipline with grace addressing not just behavior but the heart attitudes that give rise to disobedience. Every situation is dealt with on its own merits.
Disciplinary measures which may be used include the following: explaining expectations, establishing facts, reprimanding verbally, enlisting support from parents, punishment by extra work or loss of privileges, and (very rarely) suspension or expulsion. At all times the intention is to help the children live according to the pattern of God’s truth and to restore them if and when they fail. Repentance, forgiveness and reconciliation form part of a successful disciplinary process.
It is essential to have the support of parents in maintaining discipline for the benefit of pupils and the school as a whole. Therefore, all parents sign a commitment to uphold the code of conduct when they apply to the school.
